Good question! Reach out via our contact page or directly by email at info@skyblueweddings.com and we can check on our availability for you.

We describe our style as naturally cinematic. We don’t impose ourselves on our subjects and we capture naturally beautiful images. This lends our style to be documentary in nature but it doesn’t settle for boring or stagnant images.

Two shooters seems to be the sweet spot that allows us to capture the most and be the most productive. If the entire day consists of a single location a single shooter might be a good option if you’re looking to save some money. If the wedding day takes place across a couple different locations then three shooters can be really beneficial.

Yes, we are FAA certified to fly commercially and will usually capture some aerial shots. However, there are many variables that can prevent us from being able to fly the drone such as weather, location, or scheduling. So while we don’t guarantee that we will be able to capture aerial footage, we always do our best to get those very beautiful shots.

Absolutely. Travel fees are pretty straight forward if we’re in the Midwest but if you have a destination wedding in mind we will work with you to determine the best and most cost efficient approach.

When you book your date we require a 20% deposit with the contract. The next payment of 40% is due two weeks before the wedding and the final 40% is due when everything is finished and ready to be delivered.

Yes, we accept all forms of credit cards. We prefer payments via check to avoid additional fees but if you need to use a credit or debit card just let us know and we can arrange it.

After the wedding we transfer all the footage and media to a storage drive as well as our project drive. Our project drive has an additional backup. So immediately following the wedding we have the files saved to three different hard drives.
Once we deliver the final product we backup all the files onto a single archive drive which we will put into storage in case we ever need to access the files again.

It usually takes between two to six months to completely finish a wedding. Variables include the time of the year, how busy the wedding season is, and what package is booked.

In the event of a postponement or cancellation of the wedding/contract, prior to seven (7) days of the event, any amount paid will be returned, however the Reservation Fee (the initial 20% payment) is not refundable. If cancellation is made less then five (7) days remaining to the event, no refunds will be made.
If the wedding date is simply moved we don’t charge any additional fees if the new date is still available. If the new date is not available it may be treated at a cancellation.

Yes. However, all commercial work is run through our sister company, Proper Studios. Shoot as a message at any entity and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of!

About Our Packages

A highlight reel is a quick video that shows some of the best moments from your wedding day. They are set to music and often include some parts of a speech, vows, or spoken work. Our highlight reels are usually around four to six minutes long.

An “extended cut” is a long form video of your entire wedding day. It is usually anywhere between 60 to 90 minutes long and you’ll be able to watch the day unfold starting with the morning preparations and continuing until the dances or grand exit.

A social media cut is a quick 30 second video that you can share with your family and friends the week following wedding day. It’s perfect for Instagram or Facebook and it shows the best parts of your wedding day while it’s still fresh in everyone’s mind. Click here to see an example of a social media cut.

All our packages include the RAW footage. However, going through RAW footage to try to watch speeches or a ceremony is very difficult so we do all the work of syncing up the audio and video so that you can watch all the important events with ease. This usually includes the ceremony, speeches, first look, dances, and anything else noteworthy.
